Be Still...

Updated: Jan 21

Beautiful younger soul,

Wait!

I know that you think about what you will do next week, that you are looking forward to the next step, that you are thinking often about when… When you will finish school, when you will have a boyfriend, when this situation will be over…

But while you are thinking about the future, hoping for the future, and living in your mind in the future, you are not living this present moment… The one you will look at in the future and miss because you were not in it when it came…

What you do today, the choices you make today, the time you spend knowing yourself at this time, will make a difference in this future you are so looking forward to…

Do not plan your future without the Lord. Do not open doors that He has not opened. Before you decide, whether it'd be to date this person or not, or to choose which university to apply to, invite the Lord to lead you… "In their hearts human plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps" Proverbs 16:9.

Yes, those around you may seem to have it all together. Yes, it may seem like they have arrived and are living the life! But remember the story of the three little pigs? A house that is built quickly (or on the sand like the Bible says) soon will crumble, because the foundation is not firm. Great loss comes to those who foolishly did not wait for the Lord.

The Lord knows what you need before you even ask. He knows better than you what you need.

Even when life does not seem fair...

Even when it feels like it will never come or change…

Even when you don’t understand why…

Just know that He cares so much for you, that if you wait on Him, you will know that He is God!

What great blessings await you if you trust Him!

So, before all comes to pass, enjoy today, live this moment, and embrace the wait…

It will be all be worth it!
